Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sudden onset of pain at the site of adams apple but it started at the back left corner of my mouth where the tongue meets. Then that went away and centered at the front of my throat along the adams apple. If I push in where a trach would be placed and upwards, it is really painful. Hard to swallow. Feels like there is a blockage, lump or wound inside. Not at the back of the throat. Throat is not sore. No trauma to area or reason for the pain. NSAID S do not help very much. I have been noticing over the past few months that sometimes when I eat, it feels like the food did not go down all the way and my throat tightens and I have to drink fluid. No visible lump.
According to my opinion, you have certain food allergies. After taking that specific food, there will be allergic reactions and there will be owns in your throat and that is responsible for not allowing food to pass.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
