My right calf has been hurting for 3 days now. It hurts when I walk, stand, stand up, sit down and touch it. I haven t done anything that would ve strained it so I really have no idea what s going on. Any help/input is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
I hope I have answered your query.
First, it may have been an unnoticed injury and in this case it should pass in few days. If there was no trauma or injury then some other issues may be considered such as vein thrombosis or neuropathy. To exclude vein thrombosis, you should do ultrasound of the calf and check your d dimers levels.Neuropathies may include diabetes or spinal cord compression and neurologist should examine you to see if this is present.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
