What Causes Pain In The Right Arm?

I woke up yesterday with pain in my right arm - from my shoulder to my elbow. It is becoming progressively worse. It s painful when I try to lift my arm, putting on and removing clothing and very sore under my arm pit as well. I m not sure if I just slept the wrong way on it but it s very painful. Regular Tylenol is not reducing or eliminating the pain. Should I try a cold compress to my arm including my shoulder and elbow? Thank you.

From the information you have provided here, it seems like a case of either shoulder sprain or a dislocated shoulder joint.
I recommend visiting an orthpedic surgeon and getting an X Ray to confirm it.
Till then I recommend cold compresses and limiting the movement at the shoulder joint.
