What Causes Pain In The Ribs?
What s the probable cause of a sharp pain (to the touch) along the edge of the ribs just below the middle of the sternum on the right side of the body? If you were to trace the outline of the rib cage, at the front of the body, starting from the base of the sternum and moving downwards for approximately five inches, on the right side, you would locate the pain I am experiencing. (If it helps, I am female, 5 8 tall; 155lbs) Thank you

most likely cause of your pain is costochondritis , which is the inflammation of cartilage of ribs. you can take some anti inflammatory medicine like brufen. or apply antiinflamatory cream.
