What Causes Pain In The Middle Or Inner Ear?

When I bend over I get some pain in my ear (middle or inner ear) left side. Is this a sign of an ear infection? I have had some very low-grade headaches at times also. Also when I lie down it feels like something pulling or moving over my left cheek / cheekbone area. I do not feel this when I am up and about but only when lying down, and it is not pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Pain in the ear with no history of trauma is more likely caused by an ear infection. This can only be confirmed with an otoscopic exam.I suggest you see a Doctor for examination. In the mean time, pain medication like ibuprofen will help relief you if the pain is too intense.
Wish you a quick recovery
