What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Left Side?

Hello, I am a lady aged 44 and had an implant inserted in my arm 5weeks ago. I started my menstruation on 24th of April. I have been bleeding since and the periods are very heavy with big clots. I ve also got pain on the left side of my lower tummy. My tummy rumbles a lot and I ve got much gas too. Ive been given tranexamic acid tablets, but the bleeding just doesn t stop. I am concerned about what may be the problem.

Hi,

Most possible issue is drug induced side effects which were used for post-recovery of implant in arm. Should discuss the issue with your surgeon or can share the details of current other medications used for implant surgery recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
