What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen After Taking An I-Pill?
Hi! Doctor, me and my girlfriend had an intercourse and within 24 hours I gave her i-pill,from the next day she is having mild pain in her lower abdomen. It s the 6th day and she is still having pain, although it s abit lesser than the previous day s. So what it is? Do I need to get her checked by any doctor or something?
There may be many causes for pain in lower abdomen. Mostly in sexually active women it's urinary tract infection specially if she has also urinary frequency and urgency. However there may be many more causes and it's difficult to say without detailed history and examination however if it's for more then 5 days I would advise you should take hero to the doctor now to find out the cause and better treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
