What Causes Pain In The Left Quadricep Muscles?

Hi, my 13yr old runs track and has been complaining of pain in his left quadricep. It s significantly larger than the right one. Is this something that I should take him to his primary doctor for? Or would it be feasible to place ice on it, wrap it up and elevate his leg to see what happens from there?

Hi,

Thanks for your query on HCM

I do understand your concern

“As” per your clinical history is concerned please check if any injury is present or not if present then you can do rest, ice, elevation and compression. If not due to injury then nutritional deficit can be considered like B-complex, calcium and potassium so you can give him a multivitamin caps once a day.

Hope that helps
