What Causes Pain In The Left Foot After An Injury?

I fell Saturday after catching my left foot on a garden hose and chair. I m not sure what actually happened to my foot (twisted or hit the floor) but my big toe turned purple at the main joint. Now I have spot pain when I walk on the left side top about 1/2 way between my ankle and toes. Hurts when I walk on it. Sometimes hurts when I m off of it. There is no swelling or discoloration. Do I need to see a doctor??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
sounds like there could be other things going on
she is female in teens and as history is not complete
first need to rule out the worst possibilities. her symptoms
could be suggestive of Multiple sclerosis.
so please get her checked for this
also any history of migraine in family
any emotional disturbances could manifest as bodily symptoms so she needs emotional support and counseling
as she is into sports the body in general demands good nutritional supply so supplements which could help resolve some symptoms.
I find this answer helpful
