What Causes Pain In The Knee While Bending It?

Im having lateral mostly and some medial knee pain to the point where its difficult to walk or stand with out pain. I didn t have any recent injury. I am unable to straighten it all the way without pain or bend past 90degrees. Shoukd i be worried about a meniscus tear or a lcl, acl type tear? I have had a lateral release done on this knee over 10 years ago. This pain now is nothing like ive had before.

Hi,

Definitely, you must consult the orthopedic surgeon immediately. There may be anything like a tear in the meniscus, tear in ligament or arthritis. After a thorough examination and investigations, your doctor would give proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel,
