What Causes Pain In The Knee After An Injury?

Hi, I hit my knee on the corner of a table recently. It stung, but then the pain went away. After about 40 minutes I stood up and walked over to the kitchen. After about 4 minutes of standing up it started to hurt a lot. A 7/10. And I heard it crack. It hurt when I put pressure on it, so I am limping. After a while of sitting down it did not hurt much when walking. Then, after another period of time, I stood up and it hurt again, just like it did previously. But this time when I sat down, it also hurt A LOT. Previously I had no pain when sitting down. I don t think it is serious but this is the first time this happens to me. Should I wait till tomorrow to see how I feel or go to a the Urgent Care clinic now?
