What Causes Pain In The Hips And Buttocks?

15 ye ars ago i was diagnosed with RA. Resently about 2 months ago i was diagnosed with Gout.My symptoms now are aches and pain in my hips and buttocks along with aches in my knees and ankles. My Doctor said that i don t have symptoms of RA but Gout. Is that possible given my current symptums?

Hi
Went through your post as you have mentioned that you have pain in butts and ankle they are large joints of body, RA usually involves small joints of hands predominantly and can also involves large joints especially ankle and knee rarely hips on the other hand gout involves joint of great toe and is sudden in onset and with severe pain, I would suggest you consult a Rheumatologist because I don't think you have RA or gout.
