General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The intake of amlodipine can give swelling of ankle and feet as side effect profile, but thumb pain is not routinely encountered.

Though this can be possible as an individual variant if the particular is only after the intake of medicine.

Should discuss with your doc for a primary holding of drug intake and see the difference for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
