What Causes Pain In The Groin Area?

Hello I have been having hip injections three times now for IS joint dysfunction, pain and discomfort of the right side hip..lately I have been experiencing throbbing sensation on the lower portion of my abdomen right over my pelvis on the right side. It feels like an overactive nerve it is not painful just worrisome. However the pain is in the groin area right under the throbbing abdomen and the lower back on the right side as well. What should I do?

Hi,

Less commonly, a bone injury or fracture, a hernia, or even kidney stones might cause groin pain. Although testicle pain and groin pain are different, a testicle condition can sometimes cause pain that spreads to the groin area. Direct and indirect causes of groin pain can include kidney stones.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monish De, Oncologist
