What Causes Pain In The Foot Of A Child?

10 year old female with foot pain. Pain is on bottom, at arch, due to got being stepped on but foot was sideways not flat at time of injury. No severe pain at time of injury .No swelling, no bruising. Next morning painful to walk. Has had 12 hours of rest, ice, compression, elevation without relief.

Thanks for posting on HCM
She is going through a post trauma pain.I will suggest she rests, continue ice pack placement.You may add a pain/anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen and observe.If the pain persist and if any swelling, you may do an X-ray to exclude a fracture.
