i m 34 year old woman. for the past week i ve been having sharp, stinging pain in my clitoris when i urinate. it s now started hurting all the time, not just when going to the bathroom. it s very painful and uncomfortable. also i had a Laparoscopic Myomectomy 3 weeks ago. i dont know if its related

As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern.
Your symptoms seem to suggest an UTI(urinary infection)or vaginitis.
You'll need to see a gynecologist,for a local examination,with these tests :
1. urine routine and culture.
2. blood routine, creatinine,RBS,platelets,LFT,VDRL,HbsAg,HIV.
3. ultrasound scan-KUB, with residual urine.
It's unlikely to be related to myomectomy surgery,done before 3 weeks.

Understand your concern.
I think it may be due to
Urethritis
UTI/Stone in urethra
Contact dermatitis
Consult the gynecologist and do proper investigation like
Urine: routine, microscopic and culture
Blood: CBC, ESR
Abdominal USG
Take following advice:
Tablet cefuroxime
Tablet tramadol
Tablet cetrizine
Drink plenty of fluids
Wash vagina with warm water 3-4 times a day
Use liquid bases lotion that contain vitamin and mineral
Healthy diet with adequate vitamin and minerals
Maintain pelvic hygiene after and before sex and urination
