What Causes Pain In The Chest While Breathing?

I have pain in my right chest area in the front when I breath or sometimes just sitting still, not constant. Seems likes pressure or a needle. The pain extends to directly in my back with really tight muscles. I am still active and able to do things. But I am so exhausted, trying to eat healthy but I can exercise because I m so exhausted.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It might be muscular pain or costochondritis or pneumonitic patch. Go for X-ray chest.

Also, procure ECG to rule out any cardiac association as you are in the elderly age group.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
