What Causes Pain In The Chest, Ribs And Shoulder Blade?

Here are my symptoms. I don t know if they re related or separate. Right side stabbing intermittent chest pain, middle of the ribs, sometimes wraps around to the back under shoulder blade. Knot in abdomen left side, just above belly button. Nausea usually in the mornings. Constipation and/or diarrhea. Constant post-nasal mucus in back of throat.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There may be many reasons for this pain but common things causing such symptoms include liver and gallbladder disease. For example, we need to rule out gallstones, or fatty liver. Renal problems is another possibility. So it's important to get an ultrasound done to see for these changes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
