General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

In a person who has no risk like DM, hypertension or family history of heart disease, if ECG is normal and the pain is not anymore there, this is then quite reassuring that all is fine.

However, if the pain is severe, or there is associated difficulty in breathing, or sweating, or the pain persists then we generally advise to do another ECG after an hour or to check cardiac enzymes if there are any risk factors like mentioned above. But a normal ECG with pain resolved is quite reassuring.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
