What Causes Pain In The Chest And Cramps In The Left Arm?

I have been having pain in my left chest along with aching and cramping in left arm and hand. This pain gets worse if I try to lay on my left side. When I lay on my left side the pain is sharp and cuts my breath off. This has been going on since late yesterday.I have CAD.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you have some tests:

1. Coronary angiogram
2. ECG
3. Blood Routine tests
4. Chest X-Ray

These tests will be sufficient for now. Please do these tests and along with the results, please post another question. Do not worry.

Take rest and drink plenty of water. I would also like to know what are the treatments you have done for CAD? Please inform me about the medications you are on or were on.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
