What Causes Pain In The Center Of The Chest?

Hi, I am not feeling well. I have right side pain from the front to the back and some chest pain more in the center. I work in a lab as a phlebotomist. I had a chemistry panel with liver function drawn and ran today. My AST and ALT are elevated and my Creatnine is slightly low. My tbil is 0.4 and dbil is .02. I do have a large amount of bilirubin in my urine. I am a 41 yo female.

Hi,
I admire your positive outlook and congratulate you for the attitude.

Now I guess you have chest pain for which doctors advised LFT. There are lots of pathological causes responsible for such type of symptoms to occurs

However, let me give my opinion here.

As mentioned in your report you have high liver enzyme values and mentioned chest pain so my advice will be to ruled out gallstone first then others. The pain which you have mentioned is biliary colic, so I request you to do an ultrasound examination today and go for surgical treatment.

“Before” surgical treatment your treating doctor may recommend following 1)Oral bile salt therapy (ursodeoxycholic acid)

2)Contact dissolution

3)Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy

If size is less than 1 cm and gall bladder is in good condition doctor may advise you conservative treatment and if size is greater than 1 cm then he may recommend surgical treatment in laparascopic methods only as decided by him after physical examinations.

For this you need expert's guidance by a general surgeon only at your local area

Hope this helps.
