What Causes Pain In The Bridge Of The Nose?

The bridge of my nose is painful (feels like someone punched me in the nose). It hurts when I touch my nose and feels like it s bruised. I went to my ENT today for a checkup regarding vertigo issues and I asked him about the pain in/on my nose. He had a look and said nothing was wrong. Should I be concerned?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Pain at the bridge of the nose may be due to local trauma or ethmoid sinusitis or conjunctivitis or frontal sinusitis, etcetera.

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day.

If symptoms do not improve, please take a x-ray for paranasal sinuses and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
