Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that pain in the area where you had wisdom tooth present and got it extracted 2-3 years ago can be due to causes like any hard food that might have injured the gum in that area causing inflammation and pain..
Other cause can be any left out root in that area at the time of extraction that might have got flared up now causing inflammation and pain..
Although chances are less of having an additional wisdom tooth but in a very
few cases there can be a supernumerary wisdom tooth present..
For confirmation of exact cause of the problem
consult a Dentist and get an
x ray done and get treated accordingly..
Application of
Neosporin is not needed rather you can apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine to relieve pain, take anti inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen and do warm saline gargles..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
