What Causes Pain In The Ankle After Sitting For A Long Period?

Pain after sitting for long periods in area right beneath the inside of right ankle. Some swelling but pain goes away in less than a minute after walking around. Had therapy which helped some but my doctor seems to think that it is a temporary imflamation that will subside as imflamation reduces. It has been two months.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your symptoms could be due to arthritis.
I would suggest to go for orthopedics surgeon for examination and undergo blood tests like CBC, ESR, CRP, ANTI-CCP, RA factor, synovial fluid tests.
Drugs like zerodol SP will help you
Apply warm pad application
Application of diclofenac gel
Wear elastic bandage
Wear comfortable shoes
Shockwave therapy and thermotherapy according to physiotherapist will help you
Avoid excessive sitting and standing
Hope this may help you
Best regards
