What Causes Pain In Stomach After Drinking Alcohol?
I'm a heaver drinker and have been on seven day bender, I quite drinking yeaster day afternoon because I keep vomitting, my face is bright red and dry, was up all night have a slight pain in my stomach and last night keep seeing little lights in my vision. don't feel to bad now but not great. I have no insurance when would I know to go to a ER been sober for about 28 hrs. I sobered up cold turkey four months ago but have been drinking again for 1 1/2 months. Thank you
Ok, there are a lot of causes of abdominal pain. BLEEDING would be a bad sign and need immediate attention. This is of course shown by throwing up blood. That is not common. MORE common is dried/coagulated/digested blood which looks like coffee grounds (brown/dark/black/or maroon and rough not necessarily liquid). AND, one can have black poop if it goes out the other end. Ulcers used to be in the top 10 causes of death. THen.. there's a rip in the stomach/abdominal wall or diaphram from violent vomiting. Painful, if bleeding it is serious, without bleeding, not as serious as you'd expect most of the time. Then, there's irritation, no bleeding, common, not serious.
