What Causes Pain In Shoulder And Arm?

I have a bad shoulder rotator cup. I don,t understand why I have pain all down my arm and especially in the rear part of my upper arm and down to my elbo then all the way to my finger tips. Also the muscels of my arm respond to a vibrater for relief. recently even the muscels in my back tighten up and hurt, front and back and at a point near my under arm.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to nerve entrapment syndrome as rotator cuff tears doesn't give such radiation of pain till finger tips. A physical examination by an orthopedician will be helpful to rule out the condition. Nerve conduction studies will be required in such case. Neurotropic drugs and NSAIDs will be helpful. But in case of nerve entrapment it is better to go for surgical decompression.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
