Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

After having a fall on the outstretched hand, there will be direct hit over the scaphoid and it may have got misplaced from its original position. It will be suggested to use the splint as this will help the ligaments inflammation to reduce and possibility of scaphoid to get replaced in its position by normal physiological process will happen.

After the removal of the splint simple hand exercises will help to regain the hand muscle strength and function.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
