What Causes Pain In Rib Cage?

i have a roll of fat that rolls in on my left side only right under my rib cage and between the bone under it. it hurts a little to lay down and i have a little pain in my lower back. im 18 and a female. i just want to make sure nothing big is happening . julie

I have studied your case.

As per your history it looks swelling of soft tissue which can be lipoma.
I will advise to consult surgeon for clinical examination and if required proper investigation.
I will advise you to do MRI and Ultrasound of the swelling.
As per your history and age this may not be any thing big.
