What Causes Pain In My Ear?

My ear got kicked underwater while swimming (dangerous I know) but I noticed that there was bubbles coming out of my ear and after that my ear is in pain (more like the canal) I have relatively normal hearing - I can here everything but it feels like water is stuck in there. I ve heard of perforated ear drums before - but I just wanted to know if my case is something that is severe enough to getting it checked.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
I have gone through your query; and as a ENT specialist I personally advised to you that you go for ear examination and avoid swimming , putting water, oil and earbud if you have perforated ear drum.

Thanks
