What Causes Pain In Middle Of Chest And Abdomen?

My 15 year old daughter has been having chest pain and up abdominal pain for 4 months. The pain is in the center of her chest. She s been to a cardiologist, her heart is fine. She is going to an GI specialist. He did a endoscopy found that she had bile on the outside of her stomach. She is taking medication for it. Her gall bladder is functioning fine. Everything else came back normal. She is still in a lot of pain, sometimes it s worse then other times. What can else could it be? What can we do for the pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to several causes, but most commonly may be due to gastritis. For that you can take tablet pantoprazole and syp mucaine gel after physician consultation. Avoid hot and spicy food. Keep yourself hydrated. Still, I would suggest you to do ultrasound abdomen, electrocardiogram after physician consultation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
