What Causes Pain In Lower Rib Cage While Breathing And Coughing?

I am a 38 yr old male. I am currently experiencing pain in my lower right rib cage, especially when I breath deeply or cough. I am also having pain in my right upper jaw. I have had a cold/cough for nearly 2 months and have gone through 2 cycles of antibiotics but it persists. Finally, I have been experiencing muscle spasms around my whole body for 5 months. Chest X-ray was normal. EMG study was normal. MRI of spine was normal. Please advise what else could be causing these symptoms. Thank you!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

You are reporting to get a severe respiratory infection for the last two months. The pain you feel might be due to pleural effusion or pleuritis.

If nothing else was found I advise to consult with your doctor to rule it out.

It will be gone after infection will be totally treated.

All the best!
