What Causes Pain In Lower Back In Hip Area?

For the last 5 days I ve had Stabbing pain in my lower back on the left side, basically my hip area in the back. I can t sit straight it hurts worst then labor pain. The only relief is laying in bed. I m wondering if I should see my MD Monday or go to an ER or Immediate care center. Please help me.

Looking at your history this could be acute lumbago PIVD (disc problem) or muscle pull
In my opinion you should take anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen with muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone or tizanidine

Use hard bed to sleep
Stretching exercise may help you
Avoid sudden bending forward or lifting heavy weight
Of it persists or get worsens than you should go for an MRI LS spine for a confirmatory diagnosis.
