What Causes Pain In Legs After Taking Amitriptyline?
I was recently prescribed 10 mg of Amitriptyline per day as a preventative pill for migrane. I have been taking them for 7 days. Yesterday I began experiencing pain in both my legs, one more than the other. They are extremely painful and have not eased off at all. Is this a common side effect and/or something that I should be worried about? Linda Dublin

This is unlikely to be a side effect of Amitryptyline. If analgesics like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen take for 3 days do not resolve the issue, kindly see your doctor for evaluation of the cause and treat accordingly.
