What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Ribcage?

I have been experiencing pain on my left side just under my rib cage , this has been going on since 2003 I ve had several tests done & they ve all come back negative or results show nothing , although I m not throwing up or anything like this I m still have the aches & it s going on for way too long , any suggestions on what particular doctor to see , I m waiting for my MD doctor to schedule a colonoscopy since it hasn t been done in awhile & hope this will tell us something but is there something else that can be done if this shows nothing ?

Apart from colonoscopy you can get high resolution CT scan and ultrasound of abdoman and chest to know abdominal and chest related causes.
