Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Male, age 64. Good health. For 10 years, my forefinger and index finger has been getting pains in the first joint just below the fingernail. It hurts on the outside part. But the pain gets worse with cold. And these two fingers get cold compared to the others. I have a little knot at the first joint index and as well with the forefinger. Had a carpal tunnel test ran about 8 months ago and diagnosed with chronic carpal tunnel. Should I see a neurologist or what?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the given symptoms may not be due to carpel tunnel syndrome, you can wait for few days because it may comes around till then and if not then you can see the doctor, for pain you can try any NSAID like Ibuprofen 200 mg as per needed hope this information helps.
