What Causes Pain In Knee When Lying Down?

I did the chinese splits on accident and I must have pulled something on the inside of my knee. It s been about 4 weeks now and is not healing. When laying on my stomach with knee slightly bent it hurts with just the pressure of it resting on the mattress. Do you think I have torn something vs. strained? it doesn t hurt at all if standing or walking, but does when rising from a chair or pressure on spot

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain in knees while rising from chair is suggestive of a musculoskeletal disorder.
The exercise that you have performed has possibly caused some kind of trauma to the soft tissues around the knee joint.
A X-ray and MRI of the knee joint is required to assess the knee joint and surrounding soft tissues.
The cause of pain can be confirmed after relevant investigations and thus management can be planned.
In the meanwhile, avoid movement and take painkiller as well as hot fomentation for symptomatic relief.

Thanks and take care
