What Causes Pain In Hip After Walking For Certain Distance?
After walking approx 100 yards I get pain in my left hip. When I continue to walk I start limping. This also occurs when I stand for any length of time. Apparently I have arthritis in my lower back. Could this be the cause or could it be something more serious eg. Require hip replacement.
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you get pain in my left hip and also start limping. This pain can be your arthritis of lower back, but you should get your x ray pelvis with both hip to know condition of your hips. Even if you have osteoarthritis of hip then it does not so sever to be go for hip replacement. You can try by taking Diacerne, Glucosamine sulfate and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
