What Causes Pain In Breast While Breathing And Coughing?

Hi, So I ve been recovering from acute bronchitis for the last three weeks and with that came heavy dry coughing spells but starting yesterday I ve had this sharp pain under neath my right breast almost above the rib cage. overtime i inhale or cough or move it hurts and the pain shoots from underneath that spot to the rest of of breast and its worrying me. it also hurts when i lie down. please help

When you have bronchitis, and concomitant continued cough, it causes exhaustion of your muscles of respiration (intrinsic and extrinsic both of them, including muscles between the ribs).

That's why now you feel pain due to spasm of these muscles. You should apply Bengay ultra stretch gel on areas of pain 3 times a day.

Take Tablet Ibuprofen800mg twice daily for 3 days. It will help relieve symptoms.
