What Causes Pain From The Neck Radiating To The Head?

i am saroj verma 41 years old. i have a problem of headache. it usually when my stomach is upset or on observing fast. pain starts on neck first and then shift to left side of head. feel vomiting. can t wear cloths which touch my neck.. please sugest me good treatment

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain from the neck radiating to the head . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like poor posture , working at a desk for too long without changing position , sleeping with your neck in a bad position , jerking the neck during exercises , arthritis and fibromyalgia . It can also also occur due to sore throat or bruxism. I you case the symptoms are probably due to bruxism. For now do stretching exercises under expert , give your neck proper rest , eat soft and slowly and also keep yourself relax . Give your neck proper rest and work in right posture . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor will as for certain movements , examine physically and order other imaging test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory , recommend stretching exercises and physical therapy. Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for sore throat .
