What Causes Pain During Urination Along With Urinary Urgency And Abdominal Pain?

I have stinging pain on end of urination and pin pricking feeling at the pubic region.These symptoms disappears on drinking good amounts of water .But relapses if the water intake is a bit reduced in a day.There is no fever or abdominal pain or other discomforts.There is an urinary urgency soon after urinating. It has been 27 days now.I am taking epimag as once my doctor prescribed me the same for the same.But this time I think its not working.Please advice.Is it anything serious.I thought it would go away with water intake.I am a female of 35 yrs .

hello madam, welcome to HCM. It is not serious. It can be completely treated. You have severe urinary tract infection. First take floxacin group antibiotic . I prefer my patients to take levofloxacin 750 mg once daily for 5 days. Once the infection comes down, urinary continence will be there . Confirm with your partner if he is having any symptoms of infection. If so please be away from your husband till his symptoms also reduced after treatement. Hygiene is must. otherwise UTI may happen repeatedly. Take care.
