What Causes Pain And Tenderness In The Clavicle?

Hi, am complaining of pain and tenderness in my clavicle left area after my weekly marathon, week past still the pain is present so I consulted a doctor and suggested for an xray to be considered is the musculoskeletal strain. When I get back for the result they suggested for a repeat procedure on a Apico position, what does it mean? There s no impressions on the previous result, only for repeat xray. Thanks for the response.

Hi,

Yes, X-ray is done to rule put any fracture however the chest bone may not be seen clearly on an X-ray in routine position .So we repeat in apico position , the X-ray person would make you stand in a bit different position to focus on the bone to see it clearly . Mostly its not fractured however wee nee do see it clearly .
Hope I have answered your question. I will be glad to answer any further question about this.
