What Causes Pain And Tenderness Around Chest Muscle?

I notice that because of my job, I talk on the phone a lot and of course, I tilt my head to use the phone, and I noticed that my left chest muscle is tender. When I start touching around, I can tell that the pain is isolated near or around my chest muscle. not deep.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The pain in chest is likely to be due to muscular. In case the pain is associated with change in posture, the muscular nature of pain is confirmed. I suggest you to avoid the posture which leads to increased pain and to use muscle relaxant to relieve the pain. You may consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and prescription of medication.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
