Hi,

Pain in the left side of waist may be due to lumbar muscle spasm or left renal caliculi or lumbar spondylosis or diverticulitis or fecal impaction or obstruction etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use anti spasmodic drugs for pain relief. please get it done ultrasound abdomen and x-ray lumbar spine. Use back support belt while driving. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
