What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Upper Abdomen?

I have numerous conditions and recently had an abdominal wall abscess, had an I & D and a day later surgery to scrape abdominal wall. 1 month ago. Previously, 1 month before had a big toe removed due to bone infection. Now I m having pain and swelling in my upper left quadrant. I m noticing swelling under my left breast and sharp pains. I also have chronic coronary disease and diabetic (insulin dependent). I don t like going to ER unless it truly is an urgent or emergency situation. Any advice would be welcome.( I was septic and almost didn t get there in time before.)

An upper abdominal pain and swelling can be anything like due to deep-seated infections also. Since, you had other infections also it can go for sepsis in no time and it will difficult for anyone to treat you.
