What causes pain and swelling in the upper abdomen?

I have numerous conditions and recently had an abdominal wall abscess, had an I & D and a day later surgery to scrape abdominal wall. 1 month ago. Previously, 1 month before had a big toe removed due to bone infection. Now I m having pain and swelling in my upper left quadrant. I m noticing swelling under my left breast and sharp pains. I also have chronic coronary disease and diabetic (insulin dependent). I don t like going to ER unless it truly is an urgent or emergency situation. Any advice would be welcome.( I was septic and almost didn t get there in time before.)

Kindly note that the history you are telling is a little bit serious than all others who consult us for some small problems. You have to be examined thoroughly and proper history and necessary investigation can lead us up to treat you.

With this vague history, it is impossible for us to treat distantly. Kindly, consider my words and go to a doctor for examination, your health is important than anything else in your life.

An upper abdominal pain and swelling can be anything like due to deep-seated infections also. Since, you had other infections also it can go for sepsis in no time and it will difficult for anyone to treat you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
