What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Foot After Drenching In The Rain?

After excessive rain, I have been wareing rubber boots a lot and getting other shoes damp a lot. Friday afternoon I noticed slight pain in my foot and, on inspection, the second and third toes were slightly swollen and slightly red. Between these toes was wet even though I had been barefoot for the previous hour. Saturday morning, the symptoms are somewhat less severe. How should I treat this condition?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to health care magic...

Your joint examination is necessary here...

You are having pain, redness and swelling of second and third toe..

So it could be arthritis, infection or muscle strain or fracture over there

If needed you might prescribed compression bandage...

Ibuprofen tablet taken for five days to relieve inflammation....

CRP, local part x ray investigation needed

Take care

Orthopedic consultation for examination
