What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Calf After A Muscle Pull?

my husband has a pulled calf muscle.....we saw a dr on call yesterday...but I m concerned that today he s having pain and swelling he didn t have yesterday...could it be he was up on it too much going to the dr ..he has been in more pain today since he did it last Saturday...what are the symptoms of a blood clot

I can understand your concern.
Since his symptoms, pain and swelling are worsening, you should definitely consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination of calf and x ray of local part to rule out internal injury.
DVT (deep venous thrombosis) of calf vein is another possibility. Most common symptoms for DVT are worsening pain and swelling in calf.
So also get done venous doppler study of calf vein.
If this is normal then no need to worry for DVT.
He will mostly in immobilization, painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs.
Don't worry, he will be alright.
