What Causes Pain And Swelling In Testicle And Groin While Suffering From E.coli?

Can e.colli affect the groin area? I have swelling in my testicul a and surrounding area accompanied with severe pain, fever of 103 and can barely walk. Went to hospital and my WBC count was 22000 now down to 9000 and only 100 temp and cultures came back positive for E.Colli. I don t think the two are related as I don t have diarrhea or nausea or kidney problems but was dehydrated and undernourished. Is it possible E.Volli could have done all that?

it can effect groin area. since there is chance of getting cross infection from anus or vagina. common urinary tract infection is e coli.from urine infection it can trickle down to groin area. if culture report is to be excepted it should be e coli. can go for repeat culture second time from different laboratory.
