What Causes Pain And Swelling In Knee Post Minor Knee Surgery?

I had minor knee surgery for a torn middistous, and shaved a little arthritis, I have had pain and swelling in the knee, thigh, calf and foot ever since with some numbness in for and petition eye on for as well. Have iced and exercised it daily. I think there has to be an infection any idea?

I have gone through your case and as your physician I completely understand your health concerns....
You haven't mentioned the time period since your knee surgery???is this pain associated with with any crepts in your knee ? Is there any weakness in your leg along with numbness?? Is there is swelling in your knee??
Based on the history you have provided I don't think you have got any knee infection...cheers for you...
I think you still have arthritis , or you are having post operative pain ? get an x ray knee joint , and MRI of knee joint and consult orthopedic surgeon.
Meanwhile avoid vigorous activities. Use ice pack and do regular knee exercises to strengthen your quadriceps muscles...you can use Acetaminophen to relieve pain...
