What Causes Pain And Pressure In The Nipples?

I had my nipples pierced about 3 years ago, and about 2 years ago I took them out. 2 months ago I noticed my left nipple swelled up and I noticed a lump on the left side of my nipple where one of the holes were. It was red and white and filled with puss. It felt like pressure and hurt for clothing to touch and to bend over. I squeezed it to get rid of the puss and some blood which relieved the pressure but only for a little while. This went on for a couple days, amd went away. Now it s back and hurts again and keeps on filling up. I don t know what it is but it hurts.

It seems like a breast abscess due to residual infection in breast. Drainage of pus will relieve the symptom temporarily but abscess can recur. You need to start taking antibiotics ( amoxy-clav), pain killer along with regular dressing until whole swelling subsides and wound healed totally.
