What Causes Pain And Pressure In The Abdomen?

I have been having pain after I eat, experiencing pressure in abdomen. Lots of trouble with bowel movement. Have been taking laxatives with limited results. Wearing pants with waistband brings added pressure and discomfort so living in sweatpants these days. Now trying a colon cleanse hoping that s the answers. Any idea what could be causing this? I exercise and drink lots of water routinely.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It seems intestinal motility disorder most likely.

Some tips for better recovery are:
• Avoid all oily, spicy, and non-veg items
• Consume small amount of soft diet at regular intervals
• Prevent yourself from going to bed for at least 2 hours after meals
• Do not overeat
• Chew your food thoroughly
• Regular walking
• Avoid smoking/alcohol
• Keep a chart of your weight
• Control your BP, blood sugar, cholesterol level always
• Get an ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis done
• Consult a gastrologist for the need of colonoscopy
